OH HELLS YEAH!

South Carolina is sticking it to The Feds by passing Light Bulb Freedom Act.

Just to end a big rumor.

Some of you may be wondering if I would sell this blog to the highest bidder, and if I would do this without telling my wonderful contributors, denying them any compensation.

Yes. Yes I would.

But until then, Tork doesn't sell out for anybody!

Speaking of anybody, have you heard about this wonderful piece of technology known as the compact fluorescent lamp? These things are amazing! They last far longer than stupid old incandescent bulbs. They're even green, whatever that means!

If you head to the Light Bulb Barn, the Light Depot, or Best Bulb, tell them Tork sent you. I believe in this product (as long as it's made by G.E., the rest are crap) so much, I promise to kill the cat of anybody who disagrees.[TM]

Something familiar about this guy

You may have seen the news talk about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a lot lately. And there's something about him that reminds me of another guy.

You know who I'm talking about?

That's right.

Thomas Edison, lightbulb inventing bastard, that's who!!

Threatening other nations with your evil glow orbs, aren't you!? I'm on to you.

Latest Light Bulb News

The great part about blogs is that you get to report stuff. And by report, I mean post links or embed videos to other people's work.

I'M OUTRAGED!

As a blogger, it is my duty to expose the lies of the mainstream media. No really, I just looked it up. So I must show to you this DISGUSTING webpage at the LA Times.

This tiny, innocent looking page just took a shot at the most important invention of the twentieth century! When will people learn that the compact fluorescent lightbulb will save us from the reckless ways of Thomas Edison? That guy sucked.

Halogen bulb? More like, halogen BOMB! On our society. Which will suffer from it. It being our non use of curly bulbs. Yeah.

I'm keeping an eye on you, Sean O' Connor. You may be a principal, but I think you need to be the student once more. If I had blogger buddies, we would SOOOO be doing a google search on you to dig up all the dirt that is probably everywhere to see.

Sean O'Connor. SOC. More like, SOC...puppet! This is clearly a plant to try to discredit the CLF movement started by California. Note that this is in the Los Angelos Times. In fact, a quick check shows that Sean is not even a member of a lighting company, but is actually a comedian in Brooklyn! This is exactly the kind of lies I expect from the anti-CFL industry, and I'm disappoined that the LAT would print this. shame on you!

We want answers!

I wasn't able to tend the Bill Corbett blog chat last Thursday. I was busy helping my parents move stuff around. However my friend wurwolf was there, and she was able to ask a couple of important questions. Here's the questions and response.

It's cool to hear his take on Nuveena. (I like to call Tad Tadlock, the star of Design for Dreaming Nuveena, even though technically they never called her that in the short when they riffed it. When wurwolf said she would ask for me, I was afraid that people would think I had a crush on Mike's wife.) I was tempted to reply to Bill that his wife's first name is the same as Nuveena's middle name, but wurwolf groaned when I poined that out, so I declined.

However, he totally dodged the incandescent light bulb question! This is the most important topic facing our nation (if not the world) ever, ever! With the primaries coming up how can we not know what his take on the issue is?

I'm voting for Anybody But Bill! I've got pictures of you with clown make-up and a brain in a dish, too!
