This Week In Entertainment (10/1/07)

I didn't know this was coming out this week. My Pick of the Week is The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. This one is for the DS and I think it's set in the Wind Waker world, but don't quote me on that.

Out on DVDs this weekend is Ken Burns's The War, which is about World War II. This confirms my suspicion that World War II was the only war that ever existed, at least according to documentaries.

We have Fantastic Four 2: The Silver Surfer. (That title reminds me of the equally silly Final Fantasy X 2.) There's a guy on a surfboard that goes around galaxies. Did you know that all that physics stuff about the speed of light is a bunch of crap?

Count Butthead! This is not the Leslie Nielsen version of 90s Dracula, darn it.

Ah, the irony. You originally had to pay over 700 bucks to watch a tv series with a socialist paradise future. Now you only have to pay 300 bucks. I guess we're getting there.

A movie about seagulls! That couldn't possibly be boring.

So after they drop the "Mighty" part of their nickname, they were rewarded with the cup. I wonder if Emilio could drop the "Estevez" part of his name he would still have a career.

I would probably like this DVD collection of the Redskins Super Bowl years. But do you know what I would probably like better? The actually damn games!!! Interviews should be supplementary to the games. Geez.

Most ridiculous item of the week. A CGI movie based on what a lot of people have dubbed as the worst DS game.
