This Week In Entertainment (8/4/08)

TV Land used to have a weekend marathon for whatever show it would pick. We taped a Honeymooner marathon, and we taped the Get Smart! marathon. Now we don't need those vhs tapes because My Pick of the Week is the first season of Get Smart! Let's hope they release the rest.

How long was the recent version of He-Man on? Was it really long enough to be split into three volumes?

Here is the second season of Star Trek, remastered. I don't know if it was a big deal in the original series, but the rest of the Trek series were socialist utopias. I find that funny because these sets are always far more expensive then sets for many other tv shows.

I don't know anything about Code Monkeys, but it's probably as funny as any other video game show, webcomic, or magazine that poins out how dumb video game logic is. Oh wait, wasn't it a G4 show? Ok, so it's ALMOST as...

The rest of the DVDs worth looking at are part of the I Love the Eighties Series. I liked the 80s but only the kid stuff I'm nostalgic about. I'm neutral about the rest.

Out on the Wii is King of Clubs, a golf game. It seems wacky but the images aren't doing much for me.

On the Virtual Console, Nintendo almost put out an effort this week. Splatterhouse 2 and the Sega MAster System version of Sonic the Hedgehog are out. 800 poins or 500 poins for each.
