Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Blog Reading Nerds, lend me your ears....
Today I come before you to reveal a horrible crime. One that has left many a defenseless victim in it's wake.
The culprit? The spoof movies. Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Superhero Movie, Disaster Movie.
Sure, these movies may have fans (Though I'm hard pressed to find any of them), but at what cost? A few cheap laughs or a coveted spot on On the Aisle (The fastest growing web movie riffing sensation!) are not nearly worth the destruction left in the wake of these movies.
I speak of course, of the actual genres, and the fact that you now have to click an extra link on Wikipedia if you want to learn about said genres.
Yes, I'm afraid it's true. Head to Wiki right now and type Disaster Movie. The top of the page informs you you're reading about the movie, and that if you want to read about the genre, you have to click the link to disaster film. And the madness does not end there. Superhero film, epic film, and the ultra cluttered and complicated....romance movie. Horror film is acceptable, but that does not let the creators of such terror off the hook.
This is a crime against humanity, my friends. When will it stop? These perpetrators must be brought to justice.
