This Week In Entertainment (12/17/07)

My Pick of the Week is The Simpsons Movies, a film that washed the awful season 18 finale out of my mouth. It also contains one of the lesser obnoxious environmental messages in the series, probably because it's an obvious one. I still think they should end the series, wait five years, then make movies, but this was a good one.

Also in time for Christmas is Blade Runner. I love this movie if only for the big Atari ad on one of the billboard. It's video games, OF THE FUTURE!

Underdog comes out and while it looks terrible I'll probably see it. Does he even rhyme?

I saw Rush Hour 3 in theaters. It was ok, but you'll have to give me a few minutes to recall more than the fact that it took place in France and involved the Eiffel Tower at one poin. I wish we could clone Jackie Chan.

Volume 2 of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. I didn't watch the show for long so I wouldn't know anything about it. I guess they're referring to World War 2, but who knows?

I have to see this movie one time, if only to riff at it at Mel Gibson's expense. "But they'll never take away... my CRAAAAAZINESS!"

They're rereleasing National Treasures, which was ok. Say, is there a sequel coming out soon?

Here's something I don't get about Hollywood. Who looks at movies like Bring It On and think that it'll make a good franchise? Maybe if I was the target audience it would make more sense. By the way, wasn't the original movie about white vs black cheerleaders? Did the whites win at some poin?

This looks like one of those foul-mouthed online shows that lasts a few episodes before the website goes bankrupt. Anyway, it sounds like the kind of thing that Lita would write about.

Brain: Why am I even maintaining a blog!?!

Usually I don't link to pornographic movies, but I want to do it to this one because I find the title funny. I mean, look how lazy it is.

Out on the Wii this week is Nights: Journey Into Dreams. I wasn't a fan of the Saturn game but Wii nerds wanted a sequel so here we go. Hopefully Sega does a better job with it than they have with their recent Sonic titles.
